I ate lunch on the 18th floor of the diamond building where i work today. The view is wonderful and i might have to do this everyday. Anybody want to visit and see it?
I also got a tattoo for my mom last night! It’s a root beer float on my inner right forearm.
When i was little my favorite thing in the world was anything root beer. Every time a holiday or birthday would come around my mom would always make sure to get me a 6pack and this has carried on my whole life even throughout college.
Since i wouldn’t have made it to my college graduation without her continuous undying support (and little gift baskets every now and then) i decided to get this right before mothers day.
Thanks very much to my one of my best friends Felix Roman at Lucky Kat Tattoo in Whiting, Indiana.
*Side note I’ve been talking to her for like an hour without her noticing. Let’s see how long she can go without seeing it.
Really crappy photo of a painting i’m working on in class. Old men are weird.
So far it has been 2 class sessions. Working with people in general are weird for me i think. Oh well i’ll give this one to someone.
Final photo of my sorry project.
I tried to make it look like my cat was eating my food and that he is sorry.
I was just happy he looked at the camera and everybody in class thought he was adorable.
Super quick sketch at work. Why? Because the electricians are fucking around with shit on stage and we can’t do anything.
One of my rough photoshop sketches of my ongoing assignment, Sorry, for Typography.
This time we have to take a picture with the word sorry and a scene depicting a sense of sorry in the picture. I thought of when my cat steals food from me and then looks up with his precious little eyes. It’s like they’re sorry they ate my food but also couldn’t help it. I’d like the viewer to feel the sense of sorry in the cat but also read the word in food on the plate. Hopefully the actual picture would get it. My cat is pretty darn cute so i’m banking on him.
Short project for my type class: we had to choose a word out of a hat and then convey the meaning of the word using only the letters in futura. The only thing we could change was the size of the letters and where they are, no skewing or anything.
My word was sorry and this is what i came up with pretty quickly, i think i’m going to put letters in the eye looking like tears about to fall.
The last 2 days in my painting class we have been doing midterm critiques individually with the professor but while not talking to him we are doing big sized self portraits.
My paper is around 3 feet by 2 feet taped to a door.
The first photo is a beginning sketch around an hour and a half in. Second photo is what i did today all together about 3 hours of work.
I like looking at the changes i make as i go along and how drastically it can change. I’ve been meaning to do this a lot more taking periodical pictures of my work and studying it. New goal!
OH MY GOD WHY IS HE SO PURRRRRRRRRRRFECT!!!!!!
I love him so much.
Jedi master was curious about the camera.
